The festival
The current Seattle Asian American Film Festival was founded in 2012 and held its first edition in early 2013, continuing a tradition of Asian American film programming in Seattle that dates back to the 1980s. It presents a program of features, documentaries and shorts each winter.
Worth knowing
SAAFF grew out of Seattle's longstanding Asian American media and arts community and has become a regular gathering point for Asian American filmmakers in the Pacific Northwest. Its programming spans both established and emerging voices from across the diaspora.
How to attend
The public attends by purchasing tickets and passes through the festival's website, with screenings at Seattle venues.
